Defining the sales strategy

Define a WHMCS sales strategy for Qboxmail services before creating products, pricing, and configurable options.

5.1

Before creating products, you should define the strategy you prefer for offering Qboxmail services. Having a sales strategy is a fundamental step that will help you set up products more clearly and answer many of the questions in the next steps.

Answer these questions before creating products:

  1. Do you plan to offer the service with a minimum purchase or entirely as Pay-per-use?
  2. Do you prefer monthly or annual billing?
  3. Do you want to offer products based on all our service plans or only some of them (for more details: qboxmail.it/prezzi).

There are many offer combinations you can create. For example, you could create:

  • mailbox packages with minimum purchasable quantities of uniform sizes with annual billing (example: 5 mailboxes of 8GB in the “Professional” plan),
  • or packages with minimum purchasable quantities and mailboxes of different sizes (example: 5 mailboxes of 8GB + 3 mailboxes of 25GB + 1 mailbox of 50GB + 1 mailbox of 100GB in the “Enterprise” plan),
  • or perhaps you prefer a pay-per-use model to give your customers more flexibility.

Whatever your preferred sales strategy, taking some time to define it before the next step will help you create a clear offer and save time later.
