Access parameters

All Qboxmail users are welcome to access POP, IMAP, and SMTP services through authentication with username and password. For your security, Qboxmail requires access to these services through TLS protocol.

Qboxmail provides the services but does not deal with the configuration and management of an user's devices and programs. Therefore, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure their devices and those of their users are correctly configured to use our services.

You can find details about the access parameters you need to set on your email client below:

White Label access parameters

Resellers are able to set White Label access parameters for their users' email clients. By using White Label parameters, any direct reference to Qboxmail in the Webmail interface will be removed. To know more about how to access the service, download the White Label Parameters file (login required).

Private Label access parameters

If you have purchased the Private Label service, you can customize the access parameters to the POP, IMAP, and SMTP services by entering the name of your domain. The Private Label configuration is a project-based service and is not included in the cost of your plan.

Simultaneous sessions allowed

In order to preserve and maintain a high level of service for all users, there are limits on the number of simultaneous connections via IMAP (50 allowed) and POP3 (10 allowed) that a single account can perform from a specific IP address. This limitation comes into play only on a large number of connections by the same username, while for normal use the existence of this policy is never perceived by the user. If you reach this limit, you will receive an error message on your email client. Tracemail will also flag the issue up.
