Email DeliveryMonitoring

Data export

Export Qboxmail Email Delivery monitoring data in CSV format for reporting, analysis, and offline processing.

The Data Export feature lets you export monitoring data in CSV format.

What can you export?

  • Suppression list
  • Hosting email log analysis data
  • Delivery email log analysis data

An Export CSV button has been added to each dedicated section. It lets you generate a file containing all data returned by the search and applied filters, even when the results span multiple pages.

Info

If the button is disabled, it means there is no data to display and, therefore, no data to export.

How export works

After clicking Export CSV, a summary modal opens.

In the modal, you can:

  • View the summary of active filters
  • Check the number of records that will be exported
  • Apply an additional filter by data type

Info

The number of records to export updates in real time based on the selected filters.

If the number of results exceeds a certain threshold, generating the file may take a few minutes. In this case, the user is notified directly in the modal before starting file preparation.

What happens after starting the export

After confirming the export, two scenarios are possible:

  • Immediate export: the file is generated and downloaded within a few seconds.
  • Asynchronous export: for large amounts of data, the system starts preparing the file without downloading it immediately. In this case, a loading indicator will appear in the sidebar in the Data Export section. The downloaded file will be a .zip containing the list split into multiple files, so that each individual file remains a reasonable and easily manageable size.

Data Export section

The purpose of the Data Export section is to centralize all processed files. The page is displayed as a grid of cards, each referring to an exported file. The grid is ordered chronologically and can be filtered by status.

The following information is available for each file:

  • Status
    • Completed: file generated correctly
    • Downloaded: file already downloaded by the user
    • Processing: file being generated
    • Failed: error during generation or download
    • Expired: file no longer available (deleted after 7 days)
  • Action
    • Download (if available) or processing indicator
  • Exported data type
    • Email log analysis (Hosting / Delivery)
    • Suppression list
  • Number of records
  • Number of active filters
    • With summary tooltip on mouse hover
  • Generation date
  • Expiration date

In the sidebar, next to the Data Export section, there are two visual elements:

  • Number of files ready for download
  • Loading icon when one or more files are being processed

When generation is complete, the user will receive an email notification.

Info

Files being processed continue the process even if the browser is closed.
