Automatic email deletion

Spam

Emails in the spam folder are automatically deleted 30 days after they are received. To prevent important emails from being deleted, make sure to periodically check the messages in the spam folder and, if necessary, transfer them to other folders by marking them as Not Spam.

There are no archiviation time frames for messages stored in folders other than spam and trash.

Automatically deleted emails do not involve those downloaded locally on your own client email via POP3. Only emails managed via IMAP and Webmail are affected by these automatic procedures. Messages deleted by the automatic clearing function in the spam folder can no longer be recovered.

Trash

Emails moved to the trash folder are automatically deleted 30 days after they are received.

There is no automatic deletion for messages stored in any folder outside of the spam and trash ones.

Emails downloaded on your personal email client via POP3 will not be automatically deleted. Only mail that is managed via IMAP and Webmail is involved in these automatic processes. Messages deleted by the automatic clearing function in the trash folder can no longer be recovered.

Duplicate emails

Qboxmail has implemented a feature that automatically transfers duplicate messages received by your email account in Trash.

This function is useful when your email account is also among the recipients of an Email Alias. This way, an email sent both to your email address and to the email alias will not be received twice.

Our system will deliver the first message to the user's Inbox and the second message directly to Trash, marking it as read and automatically deleting it after 30 days.
