Mac OS

Configure Qboxmail Mail, Contacts, and Calendar on macOS with the correct account and synchronization settings.

In this guide, we will configure the Mail, Contacts, and Calendar apps included in Mac OS to access the email, address book, and calendar services offered by Qboxmail.

This lets you keep the email, address book, and calendars available in Webmail synchronized with Mac OS. New contacts or events created in Webmail will also be visible from Mac OS and vice versa.

Requirements

Compatibility

We recommend using the latest version of macOS to avoid synchronization issues and to use the latest available technologies. Since the software used is already included in the operating system, there are no special precautions to report, other than installing all available updates for your Mac.

Info

Access to Address Book and Calendar sharing services is available only for domains with a Professional or Enterprise plan.

Email configuration

To configure your Qboxmail email account in Apple Mail, use the POP or IMAP protocols to receive messages and SMTP to send them.

  • Open System Preferences
  • Click Internet Accounts
  • In the list of accounts you can configure, select Add Other Account…
  • Click Mail Account

In the window that opens, enter the following information:

Click Sign In again to confirm the details entered and make sure that both Mail and Notes are selected in the next window. Finally, click Done.

When you open the Apple Mail client, it will start downloading messages for the configured account.

White Label access parameters are available for Resellers to configure in users' email clients. Using White Label parameters removes any direct reference to Qboxmail.
