Management roles

Understand Qboxmail management roles and assign team members, managers, postmasters, and delegates with proper access.

The Qboxmail Control Panel lets you manage business domains and email accounts through multi-level roles. You can assign these roles to collaborators or customers and set specific limits for each role.

Idea

We recommend creating and using a named role for each collaborator or customer so that you can track their actions clearly.

Admin (administrator)

The Admin manages the Control Panel and its connected services. This is the person who purchases the service directly from Qboxmail. Admins can add and manage domains and accounts independently, within the limits of the selected billing type and plans, and have full control over all resources in their profile.

The Admin can create and assign other management roles, such as Team member, Manager, or Postmaster, and set role-specific limits based on what the plan allows.

To change the settings, after logging in to the panel, click Settings at the bottom left of the sidebar.

Team member (collaborator)

A Team member is an Admin collaborator who can access all domains and accounts within the limits set by the Admin. The Team member can be created, activated, or deactivated only by their Admin.

Limits available for the Team member:

  • Add, edit, delete domains
  • Add, edit, delete email accounts
  • Add, edit, delete archive
  • Change account password
  • Access to Email log analysis
  • Access to the Log
  • API access
  • Add, edit, delete Managers (only if the Admin is a reseller)

To change the settings, after logging in to the panel, click Settings at the bottom left of the sidebar.

Manager (company manager)

A Manager is responsible for managing specific domains and their associated accounts. Only an Admin with reseller status can create, activate, or deactivate a Manager. An authorized Team member can also do this.

Limits available for the Manager:

  • List of assigned domains
  • Maximum number of domains that can be activated
  • Maximum number of email accounts (8 GB and 25 GB) that can be activated
  • Maximum number of Archives that can be activated

To change the settings, after logging in to the panel, click Settings at the bottom left of the sidebar.

Postmaster (domain manager)

A Postmaster is responsible for a single domain and can independently create and manage its associated accounts within the domain limits. A Postmaster is created automatically with each new domain, and its account has a fixed available space of 50 MB.

The Postmaster accesses the Control Panel with:

  • Username: postmaster@DOMINIO
  • Password: password chosen when creating the domain

To change the settings, after logging in to the panel, click Settings at the bottom left of the sidebar.

Email account (user)

An Email account belongs to an individual email address and can manage only its own settings, such as changing the password, enabling OTP access, and setting an autoresponder.

To change the settings, after logging in to the panel, click Settings at the bottom left of the sidebar.

Delegate (auditor)

A Delegate is a user authorized to access the Archive of one or more email accounts within specific limits. Delegates can view part or all of the archive content to support internal audits or company protection processes. All Delegate activity is tracked in a dedicated activity log (AuditLog).
