Importing contacts

If you want to import contacts into Webmail, you can do so individually or in bulk through an import.

Please note

To perform an import, you must first choose the Address Book into which you want to import. If you want to import into a new Address Book, you must create it first.

To import contacts, follow these steps:

Go to the Address Book section in the sidebar.

Right-click the address book into which you want to import the contacts.

Select Import contacts.
Upload the vCard (.vcf) file from your device.
Click the Import button to complete the operation.

When the import is complete, the contacts contained in the file will be added to the selected address book.

Info

Contacts can only be imported from a vCard file. A vCard file (or VCF, Virtual Contact File) is a file with a specific format used mainly as an electronic business card.

Exporting contacts

Exporting contacts allows you to save a vCard or LDIF file containing all contacts from a specific Address Book to your device. This file is useful for importing contacts from an old provider to a new one.

Exporting contacts from the previous provider

Many providers and email clients allow contacts to be exported in vCard format (or VCF - Virtual Contact File), a standard used for exchanging and storing contact information.

Generally, you can export contacts by going to the Contacts, Address Book, or Tools > Export contacts sections, and selecting the vCard (.vcf) format. Software that supports this feature includes, for example, Thunderbird, Roundcube, and Google Contacts.

Some providers, such as Microsoft Outlook, use different formats instead, such as .ldif. In these cases, you will need to convert the exported file to vCard (.vcf) format before proceeding with the import. Conversion can be performed using one of the many dedicated tools available for your operating system.

For detailed instructions on exporting contacts, consult the official documentation of the provider or application used.
