Remote Calendars
Remote calendars allow you to view your external calendars compatible with the iCal format (file .ics) directly in the Webmail.
To add a remote calendar in Webmail, you first need to obtain the iCal link from your external calendar.
An iCal link is a web address that provides access to a calendar in iCalendar format (.ics). This standard format is compatible with most calendar applications and is used to share or sync events and appointments across different platforms.
Once you have obtained the link, copy it and log in to Webmail.
Click on the Calendar icon in the sidebar and select + Remote Calendar.
A window will then appear where you can paste the previously copied iCal link. After pasting it into the Web Address (URL) field, click OK to complete the process.
Steps to retrieve an iCal link
Google Calendar
- Log in to Google Calendar
- In the left sidebar, locate the calendar you want to share
- Click on the three dots next to the calendar name and select Settings and sharing
- Scroll down to the Integrate calendar section
- Copy the link under Secret address in iCal format
If the calendar is not public, make sure to use the secret iCal address to allow access.
Microsoft 365

- Go to the Calendar section
- Right-click on the calendar you want to share and select Share
- In the pop-up window, choose the option to generate a shareable link

webcal://
) and click Save - Log in to your Webmail, go to the Calendars section, and click on Remote Calendar. Paste the copied link and replace
webcal
with https at the beginning of the link, then save.
The remote calendar is read-only, meaning you will not be able to modify events directly from Webmail.
Once linked, the remote calendar will automatically update with any changes made on the original platform.
You can customize remote calendars to distinguish them from other events by assigning different names and colors.
To modify a remote calendar, click on the edit icon next to the calendar you want to update, make the necessary changes, and click the Save button to confirm.
To share a remote calendar, click on the share icon next to the calendar you want to share, copy the generated link, and send the URL for read-only access.
