Email alias
Create and manage Qboxmail email aliases, destinations, forwarding behavior, and domain-level alias settings.
An email alias is an email address associated with one or more destination addresses to which messages received by the alias are forwarded. You can associate up to a maximum of 20 addresses with an email alias, either internal or external to Qboxmail systems.
The name chosen for the email alias cannot be the same as that of an existing email account.
You can create up to a maximum of 10 alias mailboxes free of charge for each email mailbox on the domain. If you need to create alias mailboxes with a ratio higher than 10:1 compared to the email mailboxes on the domain, please contact us.
Email alias list
The email alias list contains all email aliases in Qboxmail systems belonging to a specific domain, together with their detailed information.
To view the list of email aliases associated with a domain, click the domain name in the domain list and select Email alias from the available tabs. Information shown in the email alias list:
- Email alias status.
- Email alias address.
- Email alias code.
- Destination addresses associated with the email alias.

Add an email alias
To add an email alias, click Domains in the Control Panel sidebar and open the details of the domain you want to associate the email alias with by clicking its name. Select Email alias from the available tabs, click the + Email alias button, and fill in the required fields:
- Enter the name of the email alias you want to create.
- Enter one or more addresses to which messages received by the email alias should be forwarded by clicking the Add button.
You can associate up to a maximum of 20 addresses with each email alias.
To complete the procedure and activate the email alias, click the Create button.
Edit an email alias
To add or remove a forwarding address associated with an email alias, click the email name in the email alias list that you want to edit.
Delete an email alias
To delete an email alias from the email alias list, click the More button
next to the alias you want to delete and select Delete from the menu, confirming the operation by clicking the Delete button in the modal.
By deleting an email account, all its settings, messages, and data contained in it will be lost.
To delete an email alias, you must have permission to perform these operations. If you have accidentally deleted one, contact our technical support.
