Manager

Understand the Manager role in Qboxmail and how it controls company-level resources and delegated administration.

Who is the Manager?

A Manager is responsible for managing selected company resources.

Who can create a Manager?

Only an Admin with reseller status can create, activate, or deactivate a Manager. An authorized Team member can also do this.

What can a Manager do?

A Manager can manage specific domains and their associated accounts.

Manager list

The Manager list shows all Managers associated with an Admin in Qboxmail, along with their details. To view the manager list, click Multi-level and then Manager in the Control Panel sidebar.

Information shown in the manager list:

  • Manager status.
  • Manager name.
  • Manager code.

Add a manager

To add a Manager, click Multi-level and then Manager in the Control Panel sidebar, click the + Manager button, and complete the creation steps. Once complete, the Manager will be visible in your Manager list.

New manager

Enter the user's details, assign the domains they can manage, and set the related limits.

  1. Enter the user's first name.
  2. Enter the user's last name.
  3. Enter the user's company name.
  4. Enter the user's email address.
  5. Choose a password to access the account (you can generate a random password automatically).
  6. Set the maximum number of domains the manager can activate.
  7. Set the maximum total number of 8 GB and 25 GB accounts the manager can activate.
  8. Set the maximum total number of archives the manager can activate.
  9. Select the domains the manager will be able to manage.

To complete the procedure, click the Create button. Once the Manager has been created, they will be visible in your Manager list.

Deactivate / reactivate a manager

To deactivate a manager, in the manager list click the More button next to the manager you want to deactivate and select Deactivate from the menu.

When you deactivate a Manager, they can no longer access the Control Panel or manage the domains and accounts assigned to them.

To reactivate a manager, in the manager list click the More button next to the manager you want to reactivate and select Reactivate from the menu.

When you reactivate a Manager, they can access the Control Panel again and continue managing the domains and accounts assigned to them.

Delete a manager

To delete a manager, in the manager list click the More button next to the manager you want to delete and select Delete from the menu, confirming the operation by clicking the Delete button in the modal.

Deleting a manager will delete the corresponding account and the authorizations assigned to it, but any domains and accounts created by that manager will not be deleted.

Warning

Deleting a manager is irreversible.
