Team member

Understand the Team member role in Qboxmail and how collaborators help manage services with limited permissions.

Who is the Team member?

A Team member is an Admin collaborator, usually an internal company user.

Who can create a Team member?

Only the Admin can create a Team member.

What can a Team member do?

A Team member can manage all domains and accounts within the limits set by the Admin.

Team member list

The Team member list shows all Team members associated with an Admin in Qboxmail, along with their details. To view the team member list, click Multi-level and then Team in the Control Panel sidebar.

Information shown in the team member list:

  • Team member status.
  • Team member name.
  • Team member code.

Add a Team member

To add a Team member, click Multi-level and then Team in the Control Panel sidebar, click the + Team member button, and complete the creation steps. Once complete, the Team member will be visible in your Team member list.

Step 1 - New Team member

Enter the user's details.

  1. Enter the user's first name.
  2. Enter the user's last name.
  3. Enter the user's email address.
  4. Choose a password to access the account*.

*You can generate a random password automatically.

Step 2 - Domain management

Set the domain management permissions for the Team member.

  1. Authorize the team member to view domains.
  2. Authorize the team member to create new domains.
  3. Authorize the team member to disable / reactivate domains.
  4. Authorize the team member to delete domains.
  5. Authorize the team member to manage managers.

Step 3 - Account management

Set the account management permissions for the Team member.

  1. Authorize the team member to edit accounts.
  2. Authorize the team member to create new accounts.
  3. Authorize the team member to disable / reactivate accounts.
  4. Authorize the team member to delete accounts.
  5. Authorize the team member to change account passwords.

Step 4 - Archive management

Set the archive management permissions for the Team member.

  1. Authorize the team member to view archives.
  2. Authorize the team member to activate new archives.
  3. Authorize the team member to disable / reactivate archives.
  4. Authorize the team member to delete archives.
  5. Authorize the team member to manage delegates.

Step 5 - Analytics and security tools

Set the analytics tool permissions for the Team member.

  1. Authorize the team member to view Tracemail.
  2. Authorize the team member to view the Log.
  3. Authorize API access for the Team member.

To complete the procedure, click the Create button. Once the Team member has been created, they will be visible in your Team member list.

To edit a team member’s settings, click the name of the team member you want to edit in the team member list.

  • Authorize the team member to view domains.

  • Authorize the team member to edit accounts.

Set archive management permissions for the team member.

  • Authorize the team member to view archives.
  • Authorize the team member to activate new archives.

  • Authorize the team member to manage delegates.

Analytics tools

Set access to analytics tools for the team member.

  • Authorize the team member to view Tracemail.
  • Authorize the team member to view the Log.

API access

Authorize API access for the Team member.

Security

Change the team member’s Control Panel access password.

Disable / reactivate a Team member

To disable a team member, in the team member list click the More button next to the team member you want to disable and select Disable from the menu.

When you disable a Team member, they can no longer access the Control Panel or manage the domains and accounts assigned to them.

To reactivate a team member, in the team member list click the More button next to the team member you want to reactivate and select Reactivate from the menu.

When you reactivate a Team member, they can access the Control Panel again and continue managing the domains and accounts assigned to them.

Delete a Team member

To delete a team member, in the team member list click the More button next to the team member you want to delete and select Delete from the menu, confirming the operation by clicking the Delete button in the modal.

Deleting a team member will delete the corresponding account and the permissions assigned to it, but any managers, domains, and accounts created by that team member will not be deleted.

Warning

Deleting a team member is irreversible.
